Join us at the Woodstock Brewhouse for this fundraiser for A Small Hand on Thursday, September 19 at 6pm.
Know any coin collectors? Let them know we will have three 1oz 0.999 fine silver Buffalo rounds, a 0.999 fine silver highland mint 1oz bar, and a roll of 0.999 fine silver 2020 Eagles 1oz each US Mint as part of the silent auction and raffle.
We will also have gift cards, Washington Capitals tickets, Bryce ski passes, a car care kit, handcrafted items, and various gift baskets.
A Small Hand is an infant pantry for parents enrolled in the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) government program and provides diapers and wipes on a monthly basis. Other items, such as formula, baby wash, lotion, and other baby essentials, may be provided as available.
"These diapers helped me save enough money to be able to take classes at Laurel Ridge (and graduate!)."
Luke's Backpack provides food for children who have no or limited access to a food source during school weekends. School personnel identify students, who then receive a bag of food items to help sustain their nutritional needs throughout the weekend.
The Good Shepherd partners with the Department of Social Services, Seniors First, nursing homes, home health providers, and parish nurses to provide care packages for seniors. Care packages may include personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and paper towels.
"This program has been a blessing for me. I am disabled on a walker and unable to get to the store and on a limited income. This has really helped on getting through the end of the month. I really appreciate this extra help very much. Thanks again for doing this for me and so many others."
